In this new era where dubstep is king, fist pumping reigns and American Dj’s are global superstars, too many times we’ve let talented French producers slip by and Mike Gnacadja is most certainly one of them. Known as either Mikix The Cat for his fast-paced heavy bass work on Trouble & Bass or the more soulful Momma’s Boy, Gnacadja naturally pounces back and forth between genres with natural ease.
Release in October via his own label, ADD Cat Records,the “Baby Please” EP is refreshing. With its strong bassline, dark groove, whispered female expressions of pleasure the four track EP takes you by the hand and leads you into a secret after-hours location, where you are not sure whether to be sketched out or slightly aroused.
The next release on the record will be Simply Ded’s “Problems” EP out February 9th.
